MELAB Preparation Course at Colorado School of English
Many educational institutions in the U.S, Canada, and the U.K. accept the
MELAB
test as an alternative to the TOEFL test.
The
Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB)
evaluates advanced-level English language competence of nonnative speakers of English such as:
Students applying to United States, Canadian and British institutions where the language of instruction is English.
Professionals who need English for work or training purposes.
Any speaker of ESL/EFL interested in obtaining a general assessment of their English language proficiency for educational or employment opportunities.
CSE offers a MELAB Preparation course to students who are at the advanced level. English classes with instructional and recreational activities, social and cultural events.

4-week session and the official MELAB test: $1080
The preparation program consists of three parts much like the MELAB test:

Composition
·
Listening & Speaking
·
Reading & Writing skills containing grammar
Preparation courses will include cloze activities, vocabulary, and reading comprehension problems, etc. This program is designed to ensure that you achieve your goals of getting admission to a university.
Course Description

5 hours/day of English instruction, 4 days/week
·
Small classes
·
Initial placement test and evaluations given to ensure that students are at the right level.
·
Curriculum designed to be challenging but also interesting (focus is on speaking, grammar or writing according to student level and goal)
·
Onsite MELAB testing at the end of the preparation course
